Author´s Notes and Disclaimers:
After a grueling week of training their fighting techniques and learning to harness magic, the group knew that they needed information about their enemy. Since neither the Ronso, nor the Al Bhed knew anything about the new foe, they decided to head for Guadosalam, hoping that maybe the Guado, with the esoteric knowledge, might know about these knew fiends and the strange figure that led them.
Alisa and the others thanked the Ronso and headed back towards the Fahrenheit, Alisa was knocked over by a young Ronso who wasn't watching where she was going.
"Hey!" Alisa shouted as she took in the Ronso's weary form. "What's the big idea?"
"Kilia sorry," the Ronso apologized as she helped Alisa back to her feet. "Killia didn't mean to run into you. Kilia was only focused on looking for Kilia's father."
"So, who's your old man?" Taehyr asked.
"Kilia is daughter of Elder," she replied.
"Kimahri?" asked a surprised Alisa, an emotion shared by the rest of the group.
Kilia bowed her head and grunted a confirmation. "Kilia saw dark fiend attack Father. Fiends took Father away. Kilia couldn't stop them, so Kilia has been searching for him. Not find him anywhere," she finished sadly.
"You're not alone," Alisa said, placing a comforting hand on her furry shoulder. "They took our parents, too," she nodded at Taehyr. "We're looking for them right now, and I'll know we'll find them."
"Kilia come with?" the Ronso asked with a hint of a smile.
Alisa looked to the others who nodded. "Come on. Let's go find him and the others," she said as she led Kilia on to the airship.
"So," Cid called out as they entered the bridge, "Pick up a stray, huh? Well, the more the merrier, I guess. Let's get this heap to Guadosalam, eh, kiddos?"
Alisa nodded as Cid and the other Al Bhed kicked the airship into gear and piloted them through the sky. Alisa couldn't help but be worried for their missing loved ones. She offered a prayer to whoever was listening that they were safe wherever they were.
After a seemingly short flight, the airship landed outside Guadosalam, and Alisa, Otto, Taehyr, and Kilia began making their way the rest of the way on foot. Before the reached the entrance to the city, however, Shadow Heartless swarmed out of the darkness around them.
"Oh, come on!" Taehyr shouted in frustration. "Can't there be one day where we don't run into these things?"
"Well, well," said Sullivan, revealing his form to the group for the first time. "Never expected you to come here."
"Who the heck are you?" Alisa asked angrily, splitting her attention between him and the Heartless.
"Someone you should remember," he replied with a laugh, "seeing as how I took your family from you."
"You're the figure," Otto said.
"Sullivan Guado," the man replied, giving a sardonic half-bow.
"But," Alisa broke in, "what have we ever done to you?"
"You had a happy life with your parents," Sullivan spat. "Something your parents deprived me of. But, some day soon, everyone in Spira will see that my family is greater. In the mean time," he said, recovering some of his composure, "enjoy these little parting gifts."
Sullivan vanished back in to the darkness as the Heartless swarmed the group.
