Mary-Sue Guides

2013-06-23 18:25:44
I've been thinking of how to tie my Mary-Sue guides to a close, and I finally figured out how to end my series. First, however, I'm going to complete The Mary-Sue Complaints Checklist. After that, I have one last guide for Mary-Sue: Who is She? The only other Mary-Sue related thing I'm working on is a Mary-Sue test--cliche and unneeded, I know, but it's something to do and I wanted to see if I could. Unfortunately the test is a point-system, so can't work with You-Fic's quiz style, nor would it work on Quizilla. I might have to try Springhole, where The Universal Mary-Sue Litmus Test resides in.

What else can I say? I'm really happy that A Smile to Hide is getting a ton of reads, but I'm worried due to a lack of votes or comments that the story is confusing to follow. Or maybe people are just waiting on the love interests. Speaking of, my quiz for the story finally has pictures! It's not colored yet, but you at least have something to look at. If anyone has questions or wants to know about the interests or other characters, please comment. It'll give me something to put in the results for the characters when I finally get to the WWYFF aspect of the story.

I have also looked through all of the authors here and was quite surprised that so few people have posted stories or quizzes. There were even fewer that held my interest. It's both disheartening and exciting. Disheartening because there isn't much to read, and exciting because I have plenty of "room" to post, so to speak.

What Would You Like to See?

2013-01-01 12:50:09
Besides my Mary-Sue books, I was wondering what people would like to see from me. Fan fiction is probably the stuff I'm going to first post here, so let's start with that. I know people here like Yu Yu Hakusho, and I do have a couple of stories for that series, however my multi-chapter story was written somewhere in 2007-2008, so compared to my present writing, it sucks. Totally. I don't understand why people still have it in their favorites except that there's going to be a sequel. I'll edit it to the best of my ability, but the plot is so simplistic and so full of cheese. There isn't much I can do to save it with the way I wrote it. The sequel (only two chapters in so far) is already so much better. Other fan fictions I have written or am currently writing in include: Bleach, Demon Diary, Fruits Basket, Mushi-shi, Naruto, Ouran High School Host Club, Storm Hawks, and Yu-gi-oh. All of them are pretty much CanonxOC. The ones that have completed one-shots is in Fruits Basket, and Yu-gi-oh, but I am still working on one-shots from Bleach, Fruits Basket, Naruto, and Ouran High School Host Club. I do have some original stories, but I don't have much. One of the original stories is a CYOA/WWFFY story, but I only have one chapter up, so it's not very fun at the moment. Until I type up a couple rounds of chapters for that story, it's staying in the documents folder. So should I upload the one-shots in a book, separated one-shots, the Yu Yu Hakusho story, or would you like to see of my other fan fiction from one of the series above. Or would you like to see my original stuff first (most are LGBT), or my CYOA/WWFFY?

COMPLETE!

2012-10-01 00:53:21
I finished my Mary-Sue: Who is She? book! Feels good. Anyway, I read the rules about passwords, and it only said that I couldn't put my password in the title or in the summary, so I made a quiz to go along with the guide. If any of the admin wishes for me to take the test down for any reason, or wish for me to make the test harder, or ask more questions, then I will without a fight. On another note, I'm going to be making another Mary-sue book soon called The Mary-Sue Complaints Checklist, so if you liked Mary-Sue: Who is She? you'll like the checklist, because I'm getting more specific. I'll talk about writing styles, certain plots, specific powers, individual character traits, etc. So be on the look out.

Introductions

2012-05-17 23:36:43

Hi, I'm HatedLove6. Until I know more about HTML and CSS, I'll carry off a proper introduction here; so far the only thing I've figured out is how to change the color of the background and the text, along with making lists and putting in less-than-obvious links. It was easier than I thought it would be, but still a bit of a hassle, especially with you-fic's screen scroll and not being able to see all of the screen as I type. Eh, I guess it's not so bad, just annoying to me since my laptop screen is already so small.

Anyway, if you're on the sites that I've listed on my homepage, then the odds are fairly good that you've already seen my username at least somewhere (I'm on more sites than I listed).

I enjoy writing . . . a LOT! I actually started with an original story, but I lost it (I still remember what it's about and everything, I just haven't gotten around to rewriting it), so I moved on to fanfiction. It was easier, I got to vent off some creative steam, it was good practice, and I got a ton of feedback. I still write fanfiction, but I'm also back on to writing more original stuff. Maybe you'll see them, or maybe you'll have to wait a while (CSS and HTML challenged). I want my stuff to look nice after all.

Aside from writing, I also like drawing, my research, and I love quote-collecting! I've been quote-collecting for almost five years, and I am up to over 5,000 quotes. It's not a lot, but that was because I lost my first quotebook and so I had to recopy all my lost quotes. I'm on my second journal, in which I started it off with Irish quotes, proverbs and jokes!

By the way, for those of you wondering why I chose my background color as black and the text (mostly) white, it's because I find it easier on my eyes to read. Some people can read off of a white board and some find it easier to read off of a black board. It's basically a preference thing for me, but also for those other people that find it hard to read off of a computer screen after a long time.

I look forward to seeing what kind of stories are on here!
